Brody brings more than 5 years of professional planning experience to MRA and as Team Lead, manages much of the firm’s versatile studio work. He provides expertise in GIS, data analysis, and scenario modeling to guide equitable and attainable planning strategies. His approach is to collaborate, exchange ideas, and deliver a compelling story to inform decision-making.
Brody is passionate about applying new technology capabilities in the realm of urban planning and design. This includes using computer generated architecture code, input-output data models, and geospatial tools to guide the planning process and provide meaningful insight quickly and effectively.
Brody is a Registered Member with the Canadian Institute of Planners (RPP, MCIP) and holds a Master’s degree in City Planning and Bachelor’s degree in Community Development from the University of Manitoba. He is a part-time sessional instructor at the University of Manitoba where he teaches ARCG 7080 Intermediate GIS for Planners while supporting faculty and graduate level research in the field of city planning, history, and education.
Beyond work, Brody is an avid runner, outdoor recreationalist, and history nerd. He enjoys exploring cities, immersing himself in local culture, and spending time off work on the golf course or at the curling club with friends and family.
