Quest Recovery Centre: Supporting Indigenous Healing and Recovery

Updated: Apr 4, 2025

Quest Recovery Centre

MRA is contributing planning expertise to the development of the Quest Recovery Centre, a 400-bed Indigenous addiction treatment facility set to begin construction in Winnipeg’s St. John’s neighbourhood. The centre, located at 55 Redwood Ave., will offer a 12-week residential treatment program for Indigenous adults, integrating both Indigenous and western healing approaches.

At a recent open house, community members had the opportunity to review the project plans and provide feedback. MRA is assisting the planning and engagement process, ensuring that the facility is designed to meet both the needs of its residents and the broader community. The centre will include residential suites, cultural services, a fitness facility, and gathering spaces, creating a supportive environment for long-term recovery.

Recognizing the importance of aftercare, the project also aims to extend programming to northern First Nations communities, addressing gaps in existing support systems. While funding commitments for construction remain under discussion, the Quest Recovery Centre represents a vital step in addressing addiction and improving access to culturally appropriate treatment services in Manitoba.

MRA is proud to support this initiative, bringing planning and development expertise to a project that will make a meaningful difference in the lives of many Indigenous Manitobans.
