MRA was retained by the Rural Municipality (RM) of Taché to prepare a Housing Needs Assessment and subsequent Action Plan to guide future housing development in the community. Based on the Needs Assessment, the plan identifies key priorities, including affordable homeownership, below-market-rate housing, supportive and accessible housing for seniors, and diverse "missing middle" housing options. The plan proposes eight measurable strategies, such as infrastructure upgrades, increasing land availability, zoning updates, and establishing partnerships, to support housing development and address barriers like limited land, high construction costs, and infrastructure constraints.
