The North Whiteshell Trail is a remote 100-kilometer segment of the Trans Canada Trail that connects Pinawa to Rennie. MRA was retained to conduct a volunteer capacity and management strategy to protect the trail’s natural beauty and enhance its appeal as a premier, back-country trail route. Our work included reviewing trail management practices, stakeholder engagement to identify priorities, and recommendations on a governance structure that balances responsibilities and capacity among all stakeholders.
