It notes that housing demand continues to outpace supply, particularly for single-detached homes, as affordability and land availability remain challenges. While multi-family and rental housing starts are increasing in Winnipeg, smaller communities within the Winnipeg CMA are becoming more desirable due to affordability, land availability, and the rise of remote work. Strong population growth and migration trends are driving housing development in these areas, with municipalities like Niverville, Ritchot, and Taché experiencing significant growth. This report is updated annually and available to MRA clients.
