Originally from Ukraine, Yana earned her Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Lviv Polytechnic National University and worked as a Structural Engineer with VestX before moving to Canada. Her engineering background, combined with an international perspective, allows her to bring thoughtful technical analysis and a collaborative approach to MRA’s planning and development projects.

At MRA, Yana supports planning projects through research, technical analysis, document preparation, and development review. She has a particular interest in community development, municipal infrastructure, and land development, and enjoys contributing to projects that help communities grow in thoughtful, practical, and sustainable ways.

Drawing on both engineering and planning perspectives, Yana values finding solutions that are technically sound while supporting the long-term needs of communities. She believes that successful planning combines careful analysis with an understanding of the people and places each project serves. Curious by nature, she is always looking for opportunities to expand her knowledge and continue growing as a planning professional.

Yana’s technical experience includes preparing engineering drawings and technical documentation, coordinating project information, and working with AutoCAD, Revit, LIRA, Microsoft Office, and other engineering software. Her attention to detail, collaborative approach, and eagerness to learn make her a valuable member of the MRA team.

Outside of work, Yana enjoys travelling and exploring new places, whether hiking through national parks or spending time camping, and other outdoor activities. She has a passion for photography and enjoys capturing landscapes and everyday moments from unique perspectives. A former competitive swimmer, she continues to stay active through sports and finds inspiration in the outdoors, where her appreciation for nature often shapes the way, she sees communities and the environments they share.
