The Lac du Bonnet Planning District (LDBPD) is developing a new Development Plan and the RM of Lac du Bonnet is updating its Zoning By-law. These documents help guide the future development of the RM and Town of Lac du Bonnet and are informed by residents' ideas and future visions for the area.

Lac du Bonnet Planning District Development Plan By-law 2026-01
On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 5:00PM, the Lac du Bonnet Planning District Board will hold a Public Hearing to receive comments and feedback from the public on the Planning District’s new Development Plan By-Law, Lac du Bonnet Growing Together.
The Development Plan sets out goals, objectives, and policies to guide land use and development within the Town and RM. This by-law is intended to manage future growth and change in the community. It provides direction for land use and development, housing and recreation, transportation and infrastructure, as well as the preservation of waterfront, rural, and agricultural areas.
Copies of the Development Plan can be accessed online at mraplanning.ca/ldb or obtained at the Lac du Bonnet Planning District Office at 4187 Provincial Road 317, from 9:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

What is the Lac du Bonnet Planning District?
The Lac du Bonnet Planning District (LDBPD) is a development and planning district that encompasses both the RM of Lac du Bonnet and the Town of Lac du Bonnet.
Under the LDBPD, the RM and Town collaborate on planning the growth and future development of the District in the interests of the 4,627 residents who are proud to call this 1100 km² District home.
