Regional Investment Portal Wins Saskatchewan Economic Development Award

The Flin Flon, Creighton, and Denare Beach region’s investment portal has been recognized with the Marketing Innovation Award (Population over 5,000) at the Growing Communities One Idea at a Time Awards, hosted by the Saskatchewan Economic Development Alliance (SEDA).
The portal, launched last summer by the Regional Economic Development Commission (REDC), promotes business opportunities and provides key resources, including community profiles, sector highlights, and a site selection tool. Developed in partnership with Richard + Wintrup and funded by the Manitoba Mineral Development Fund, the toolkit aims to attract and retain businesses to mitigate the economic impact of Hudbay’s operational wind-down in Flin Flon.
The award-winning platform integrates investment pitches and strategic growth opportunities for the area’s core economic sectors, positioning the region as a hub for business and community development.
